Rebar, short for reinforcement bar, is the common name for cylindrical-shaped steel bars with spaced protrusions. SteelAsia carries the full line of rebar specifications used in the Philippines.

Cut and bend

This is a value-added service. Rebars delivered to construction sites are correctly sized and shaped to meet the requirements of the structure being built.

Mechanical Couplers

SteelAsia’s mechanical couplers (SA CONNECT) allow you to build efficiently, saving time and material on rebar fixing and installation.

Welded Reinforcing Mesh

SteelAsia is the first and only producer of reinforcing mesh in the country. This criss-cross steel grid is widely used for the foundation of buildings, roads, and bridges and has many other applications in construction.

Main Responsibilities

Materials Recycling Associate - Scrap Metals

The Materials Recycling Associate will be responsible in metal scrap supplier’s accreditation and payment processing. This position may also include coordination with the supplier, Finance and Sales group.

Main Responsibilities

Help in metal scrap supplier’s accreditation including coordination with suppliers and Finance groups and creation of supplier’s account in the system
Coordinate with Buying Station/s and Process payments for scrap suppliersProcess payments for scrap suppliers

Shipping Associate

Main Responsibilities

Ensures the preparation of required shipping documents
Receives Sales Orders for delivery from marketing. Provides an advanced copy of bill of lading to customers via e-mail or fax

Laboratory Assistant

Training Academy

The Laboratory Assistant assist in the use, inventory, and maintenance of laboratory tools, equipment, and machinery. He will serve as assistant of the Technical Trainer during the training session.

Main Responsibilities

Monitors proper utilization of the equipment and machinery in the workshop and laboratories
Provides schedule of the maintenance for all equipment and machinery in the laboratories
Gives information to the trainers about the status of equipment and machinery and recommends repair and restoration to the Equipment Specialist
Conducts inventory of all consumable and non-consumable materials and submits them to the Equipment Supervisor
Proposes and implements rules and regulations to be followed in the workshop and laboratories
Assists trainers during their laboratory hours
Helps in the orientation of new trainees on proper utilization and care of all equipment and machinery in the laboratories
Maintains orderliness and cleanliness in the laboratories
